Who knew I was so dependent on material things?

So, I haven't really done much so far this easter break. You know, just sitting in front of the computer.... Just sitting.... and looking....

On Monday night, I watched the Dawn of The Dead Preview, then I went to the Dawn of The Dead website. For not even seeing the movie, I think I got pretty scared. I got to sleep past 3am, partially because I was worried my sister would come into my room and eat me. That girl at the beginning of the preview is FREAKY! Then, on Tuesday morning, I was woken up at like five thirty because my sister and my mother were leaving for New York City. I decided to come on the ride to the train station, because I didn't want to be alone. Again, probably from being totally FREAKED OUT by the Dawn of The Dead preview. .... And Adam wants me to see it. Bleh.

Before she left, my mother left me like $40 to buy stuff with, because she was a bit nervous that I wouldn't get out or eat anything what with being just with my father all the time. So, with the money, I was going to go and buy The Matrix Revolutions on DVD which was coming out that day. One problem, my father said that I couldn't buy any movies until I got a new power adapter for my computer, since mine is considered a fire hazard. I've been using his for a few weeks.

What was he trying to do?! Drive me insane?! No movie shopping? NO movie shopping?! Movies are some of the only things I buy. You can never give me anything less than $100 and expect me to save it. I'd just go out and spend it on movies. Within two years, I think I have bought perhaps more than fifty movies, and that's just for my own personal DVD collection! That's more than two movies per month.... is my math right on that? In the last month alone, I think I have purchases about five DVDs. (Of course, some of them were previewed and on sale, I don't have that kind of money.) So, being so dependent on buying movies, I think it was awfully mean of my father to set down that rule.

Apple was supposed to send me a free power adapter, because mine is a fire hazard and stuff.... But apparently, my serial number is evil (according to this guy, Oliver from Florida who was talking to Apple for me), and they kept screwing up the order. So, the guy from Florida named Oliver said that he'd send me one of his many power adapters. Yay. That seemed like a good plan, since Oliver said that once he mailed it out through UPS, I could get the shipping number for the package. My father agreed that if I got a shipping number, I could again buy DVDs.

So. Oliver said that he was going to leave for the UPS store and have the tracking number in like half an hour. So, I started just waiting.... and waiting.... and then I watched Die Hard, which Adam had told me to rent, because supposedly all guys must see it because it's a guy movie. I didn't really like it that much. I thought it was a little cliche, racist, and overall pointless. Some of the scenes were moderately cool, but it wasn't really that great. I think I'll rent the sequel, because it is supposed to be "bigger and better!" The first one wasn't that big at all, I don't think it deserved its big title.

Then, after I watched Die Hard, my father and I ordered pizza and went out to rent movies. I rented The Quiet American and my father got some old Arnold Schwarzenegger documentary. - It's amazing that he's the governor of California. On the documentary he was talking about exercising or something and said it felt like "cumming." Then he went on to saying how when he did it, it felt like cumming in public. Ah yes, that's the governor of California. Let's just hope that he's matured a little bit since that documentary was made. (Just for the record, I think it's cool that there's a movie actor as governor of California.)

Anyway- when we got back from the pizza getting and movie renting, I got online and e-mailed Oliver. He said that there was a car accident and that he couldn't get to the UPS store. I asked him to take a picture of the package. He did, and I showed my father, but my father still said no. Oliver told me that he would send out the package Wednesday morning before 11am.

So, Wednesday morning, I woke up at like 8:30 and watched the rest of Martha Stuart's show. :P I think that's sort of my new guilty pleasure. I bought her magazine, too.

While waiting for eleven o'clock to come, two things happened. I don't remember in which order, though. My English teacher from the eighth grade called my house. We didn't get to the phone in time, but her name was on the caller I.D. That was weird.

Also, I found out that my father had PUT MY CLOTHES IN THE DRYER. I don't know how many times I've told him that only my underwear, t-shirts, and socks can go into the dryer, but it's been a lot. For some reason, though, perhaps because deep down, he enjoys people being mad at him, he keeps putting my pants into the dryer occasionally. We got into a little argument, and he said that the pants were relatively dry anyway, and he just put them into the dryer to get the heat out, because otherwise, they were hard and wrinkly. I said something along the lines of, "I don't care! I like them hard-" I was about to say "-and long!" but I caught myself, thinking that that would sound a bit.... not right.

So- then, I waited, and waited, and waited, and where the heck was Oliver?! It just shows how obsessed I can get about certain things. I waited until like 4:30pm for oliver, who then got online and said that he had overslept until like two. He then got dressed and went out to the UPS store. Hoorah!

Then, my father and I went to the art store to get some paints and a pen with pen tips. I've been borrowing a pen from my art teacher, and I'd like to return it. The paint is for the overhead light in my new room. I want to paint it reddish-orange. I plan on posting pictures of my new room either tomorrow or later today.

So, when I got back from the art store, Oliver had taken pictures of the tracking number and receipt! Yay! So my father and I went out to dinner at this restaurant we had a gift certificate to, then went to Target to buy the movies! I bought The Matrix Revolutions and then Moulin Rouge because it was on sale for like $7. So yay! I got movies! And I feel sorry for the person who just read this whole post. Sorry it's so long. :P

I'm glad you finally got Matrix Revolutions. :) I still can't believe I haven't seen that yet, but I'm planning on buying it anyway, since I have the other two. And lucky find on the Moulin Rouge movie! $7! It's almost unbelievable.
