A Series of Unfortunate Movie Clips
Okay, I guess it's a bit of a bad title for a post, but it sort of describes what's seen in the new TV Spot for Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. From the looks of it, every single thing that made the books excellent has been horrifyingly altered until the only thing similar between the books and the movie is the title. Just a few things I've notice that are wrong with the preview: 1) Violet isn't wearing her hair ribbon, 2)Clause isn't wearing his glasses all the time, 3) Clause's outfit looks way too modern, 4) Jim Carrey is just too uncreepy and unscary to be Count Olaf.
Maybe I'm overreacting a tiny bit. If what I've heard is correct, that this TV spot is meant to air during the Kids' Choice Awards, perhaps the preview is supposed to be a bit corny because it's aimed towards younger kids. I really hope that the real trailer isn't as bad. Obviously, I'll probably be seeing in theaters the day it comes out, but I really don't want it to be a waste.

The trailer only goes to the part where the Baudelaire's are in the car at the very beginning. i can't get it to go any farther. That boy really doesn't look like Klaus. Violet's good. Where's his glasses? Duh, people, they're only, like, really important in The Miseable Mill.
Ya know what?!?! I love these fuckin books, but the movie so far sux ass.

VIOLET HAS NO RIBBON AND JIM CAREY (with all due respect) ISN'T DIRTY ENOUGH OR SCARY ENOUGH TO BE COUNT FUKIN OLAF. WJERE IS HIS LONG ASS FINGWERNAILS. U ARE RUINING A GOOD FUKIN BOOK.
