And I already spend way to much time online....
I spend a lot of time online. I read blogs, lots of them. I update my own blog. I put photos on my photos site. And I look at my blog and my photos site. I think most of the four thousand some hits this blog has gotten so far are mostly from me. I don't see how I could possibly get up to two hundred hits per day from two hundred people. -Okay, so I spend too much time online. But too much doesn't seem to be enough, what with some new discoveries I made: IRC and iSketch.
Apparently IRC has been around since before people could browse the internet, according to some guy in an IRC chat room. I'd heard of IRC before, but never really got into it. It seemed too confusing. Which I guess it is, unless you know a little of what you're doing. I hadn't really cared until today, when I read on kitta.net that the Bloggie Awards would be announced in an IRC chat room. I became slightly desperate to figure out how to work the whole IRC thing. I downloaded a great little IRC application, called iRC.
So what is IRC? I think it stands for Internet Relay Chat, or something like that. It's basically chatting. If there's one thing I missed from my days of being an AOL user, it was the chat rooms, that and the "Welcome, you've got mail." So that's another thing that'll be keeping me online longer....
Then, there's iSketch.net, which apparently, according to Adam, has also been around for quite some time. But it's new to me. I found out about it from a blog called Weblog Wannabe.
iSketch.net is like pictionary, except played online and about ten thousand times more addicting. It's in a chat room type environment where you play against other chatters who draw pictures and you have to guess what they're drawing. If you guess what the person is drawing, then you get points. When it's your turn to draw, you get a little drawing palette and a word to draw. It's very cool.
So those are the two things which might get me more plugged in the internet. This entry might also go down in Maxigumee history as the post with the most links, too. :P
